The Movement Paradigm
Did you ever stop to think about something that we ALL experience? MOVEMENT. Born with tons of mobility, we were able to put our feet in our mouth and fit into the palms of our parents hands. Then, we had the amazing ability to develop control of our bodies and begin to balance ourselves through feel. Unless abnormal development occurred, we breathed normally, stabilized normally, and had ideal posture. However, some children skipped important milestones and developing adequate reflexive stability. After the first few years of life, we may have lost our optimal breathing pattern and developed poor habits like decreased play, increased screen time, and irregular eating habits. Some of us may have started sports at an early age and did not have the opportunity to integrate all of our fundamental motor skills like crawling, walking, running, galloping, hopping, skipping, and dodging.
Many people build fitness on top of movement dysfunction or a faulty foundation. So, is just a matter of time before injuries occur or there is a lack of results.
The complexity of human movement is something we take for granted. Movement is more than aesthetics. We move in patterns, not isolation. Therefore, we need to learn to move first, then specialize. Let’s take this journey together to change the way you think about movement, your exercise, and your life. We know more now than we ever did. My goal is to share my passion of movement and educate, empower, and inspire all of you with the power of movement to achieve greater results.
