Dr. Arianne Missimer, Founder of the Movement Paradigm, Clinic Director Kinetic Physical Therapy , Doctor of Physical Therapy, Registered Dietitian discussing Nutrition, Barefoot Training, and Breathwork

Dr. Arianne Missimer, Doctor of Physical Therapy, Registered Dietitian, and Human Movement Specialist, has spent the past 18 years in the fitness and nutrition industry.  In 2002, Arianne received her BS in Dietetics combined with a fitness concentration at the University of Delaware. She owned and operated CORE Fitness, a personal training studio, for over 13 years. Her passion for performance training and movement led her to pursue her Doctorate of Physical Therapy at Neumann University.

Dr. Missimer started working at Kinetic Physical Therapy, the 2015 APTA Private Practice of the Year, in 2010. In addition to her role as physical therapist, Dr. Missimer serves as the Kinetic Physical Therapy Clinic Director and member of the executive team. Dr. Missimer also provides, movement coaching, nutrition counselling, and is the Golf Performance Director where she works with recreational and competitive golfers using the K-Vest 3 D System and golf-specific performance training.

She graduated from Neumann University in 2010 and was awarded the “2010 Outstanding Alumni Award” from the University of Delaware, the “2011 Recognized Young Dietitian of the Year” by the American Dietetic Association,”  the “2015 Sports Medicine Rehabilitation Specialist of the Year” by the National Strength and Conditioning Association and the “2017 Physical Therapy Alumni Award”  from Neumann University.

Dr. Missimer specializes in a movement-based approach.  Her goal is not to just get her patients pain-free, but to change the way they move in life and sport, change the way they think about exercise, and provide them with the tools necessary for successful rehab to performance continuum.

Additionally, she has a passion for continuing education. She is a Master Instructor for the Evidence Based Fitness Academy and teaches fitness and rehabilitation professionals all over the country and holds numerous certifications in the area of movement science.

In addition to her advanced training, Dr. Missimer has created “The Movement Paradigm” where she shares her passion for a comprehensive, movement–based approach with professionals and the community.   She is a TEDx speaker, keynote speaker, presents nationally and internationally in the area of movement science, and serves on multiple advisory boards.

Dr. Arianne Missimer has raised over $100,000 for cancer research in honor of her brother through her own event, DanceStrong, among other fundraisers to support the cause. Outside of work, she enjoys ballroom dancing, fishing, exercising, continuing education, traveling, and training/competing on America Ninja Warrior. She is passionate about fighting for a cure for cancer and getting people moving and eating well.

Bryce has won first place in many competitions for his versatility in his sport and is extremely well known in the Tri-State area for being elite in the aspect of progressions and training individuals from beginner to advanced levels of Parkour, Trampolines and Tricking skills. His passion to better himself daily is seen in his dedication to rigid structure coupled with his training regime. He has meshed himself in the iCORE family and has been a pivotal part that mastered the art and created a full time living for himself helping others with his programming to create an unmatched atmosphere that has transformed the beginner to elite on a daily basis.

Dr. Lou Bevilacqua, Owner of Sanare Today and Expert Psychologist

Nancy Coe Photography-198_76A8875 (1)Angie Foster is a clowning facilitator, actress, director, and teacher.  As an actress she trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and later with Andre Gregory in New York.   She has performed in two Broadway shows as well as off-Broadway, in repertory theatre around the U.S. and most recently in the Philadelphia area. She is on the team of Nose to Nose of North America.  She facilitates clowning workshops in Kimberton, Philadelphia, New York, Vermont, and California. Clowning combines her passion for improvisation and theatre, her quest for what it is to be human, and the discovery of freedom through play.

Mitch Goldfarb, Professor at WCU , owner of Tai Chi Arts School and Tai Chi Expert

Prof_Mitch_GoldfarbMitch Goldfarb is a Professor at West Chester University in the Kinesiology Department. He received the “Honors Outstanding Faculty Award” from West Chester University’s Honors College. Mitch is an integral part of a team of professors from the Department of Health and the Department of Kinesiology that have created a minor degree program in Contemplative Studies. Professor Goldfarb continues to lead Corporate Wellness Programs in the business community. Previous programs include
work with Allstate Insurance, Universalist Unitarian Ministers Association, Heartland Hospice, Coatesville VA Hospital, Temenos Retreat Center, MEDecision, the County of Chester, Saint-Gobain North America, and others. He also teaches at various Wellness Centers and facilities in the greater Philadelphia area. His teaching background includes over three decades instructing at various Philadelphia area colleges and universities. Mitch is a member of the World Tai Chi and Qigong Day Organization. In addition to Tai Chi,Mitch is certified in alternative/complementary healing as a Reiki Master and Master Instructor in the Usui System of Natural Healing. Mitch’s studies of Tai Chi Form, Tai Chi Sword, Qi Gong and Push Hands include work with Grand Master Maggie Newman (New York), Grand Master Ed Young (New York), Grand Master Benjamin Lo (California), Grand Master Dr. Tao Ping-Sang (Taiwan), and Grand Master William C. C. Chen (New York). All the Grand Masters were life students of
Professor Cheng Man-ch’ing, the person responsible for developing the most popular form of Tai Chi, the Simplified 37-Posture Short Yang Form. Mitch is a member of David-Dorian Ross’s inaugural studies of Taiji Zen 太极禅, Jet Li’s new program based on the original writings of Zhang San-feng. This form has only been taught inside China prior to 2014. David-Dorian Ross is one of only two Master Instructors in this style in the world. Professor Goldfarb’s CD “Do Less – Achieve More,” a Guided
Instruction for the Simplified 37-Posture Short Yang Form, is used in West Chester University as an audio textbook.

Ion (Johny) Postolachi, Ballroom Dance Expert at the Blue Ballroom

He joins us from Moldova where he trained as a competitive dancer since he was a young child. He has achieved numerous accolades and titles, such as:

Johny first visited the USA in 2015 to cheer for his friends Florin and Natalia at the USA Dance Nationals.  During the event, he befriended Ken Richards and was given a chance to visit the BlueBallRoom and study the Social Dance Education program at the studio.  At that time, he became enamored with the experience, the students and the program designed to help non-dancers learn to enjoy dancing…

Soon thereafter he began his application for a working visa and was granted recognition as a unique educator in dance due to his expertise in sports education with the latest technical aspects of dance, being used by the top couples in Europe today.

Andrea Littlewood, Owner of Bodemotion and Pilates Expert

Andrea Littlephoto-1wood is the owner and primary instructor at BodEmotion Pilates & Therapeutic Fitness studio in Chester Springs, PA. She has been teaching as a professionally certified Pilates instructor for over 17 years. She is nationally certified with the Pilates Method Alliance and graduate of the Kathleen Grant Heritage Training. She is an honors graduate of the Boulder College of Massage, a Barefoot Training Specialist, and FMS certified. She is a committed seeker of groundbreaking information and techniques in the field of mind body science.  Her intense interest in anatomy and movement mechanics has led her to an amalgamation of present day innovative works along with traditional Pilates methodology.

Her integrated and varied background reflects long term interest in the relationship movement modalities have to everyday performance. She wishes her work to inspire clients to go beyond their perceived limitations, and to expand movement potential with a focus on quality over quantity that leads to joint and tissue integrity. Mike Panulla, Owner of Magnus Karate and Qi Gong

IMG_4400Master Mike Pannulla is the Owner and Head Instructor of Magnus Karate, LLC located in West Chester, PA. Currently he holds the rank of 4th Degree Black Belt in the Korean Karate-Do style of Tang Soo Do (promoted May 2008). Master Pannulla has been a passionate and dedicated student of the arts since October of 1995 under the direction of his teacher and mentor, Sabomnim John McManus. Master Pannulla has also received instruction in Tang Soo Do, Japanese/Okinawan Karate-Do, and Kobudo from Master Lee Clarkson of Milford, DE.

After achieving his fourth degree black belt rank (2008) Master Pannulla spent the following four years traveling and studying with multiple instructors. During his initial time of exploration Master Pannulla was exposed to and trained in Shotokan Karate, Goju Ryu Karate, Shorin Ryu Karate, and Okinawan Kobudo. At the present time he continues to travel and study with like minded martial artists. Master Pannulla has also competed in and won numerous local, regional, national, and international championships during his martial training career.

Master Pannulla is an advocate for allowing students to have the ability to critically think while in the classroom, and believes his purpose as a martial educator is to act as guide and a source of motivation. For this reason he chooses to teach all of the classes that are offered at Magnus Karate each week. He is proud to say that his passions are teaching, studying, and training in Karate on a daily basis. Master Pannulla is a native of the Greater Philadelphia area, living in Coatesville, PA for most of his life.

In 2006, he earned a B.S. in Sport and Recreation Management from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. Master Pannulla has also studied Physical Education and Health at West Chester University in West Chester, PA.

Somnath Sikdar, Owner of Dragon Gym and Tae Kwon Do Expert

Image.png-2Somnath Sikdar is the Head Instructor and President of the Dragon Gym and has been training in Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido for over 30 years under Grandmaster Chae Teok Goh. He is currently a sixth degree black belt and is certified by the World Taekwondo Headquarters (Kukkiwon). His training has covered a broad spectrum of martial arts to include a variety of weapons, self-defense, traditional and sport Tae Kwon Do. He has also studied Hapkido under Grandmaster Han Jae Ji.
In conjunction with martial arts, he instructs training with the Russian Kettlebell, and holds the Level 1 RKC and Level 1 SFG Certifications. While the focus of kettlebell and barbell training is strength, the other side of the same coin is function and quality of movement. For this reason, Master Sikdar uses the functional movement screen with his students and is a Level 1 and Level 2 certified FMS expert.
He has also competed successfully in local, state, and collegiate tournaments. In addition, he continues to study western boxing, Muay Thai and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He has attained a BSE in Electrical Engineering, along with minors in Systems Science and Economics, from the University of Pennsylvania. While completing this degree he was the President, Head Instructor, and Coach of the University of Pennsylvania WTF Tae Kwon Do Team.

We all move from our first breath and this power can be harnessed to create meaningful experiences towards healing. In Dance/Movement Therapy, we use the body, which is never in the past or future, as a therapeutic tool to help clients become aware of their present physical, cognitive and emotional states. Building a relationship with the body, we practice techniques to empower clients to embrace living in their bodies and connecting to their whole self.  

Keli has over 15 years of experience working with clients using Dance/Movement Therapy to help embrace their true selves.   She has worked at hospitals, treatment centers and schools specializing with Eating Disorders, Anxiety Disorders, Trauma and Addiction.  She is a Nationally Board Certified Dance/Movement Therapist and a Licensed Professional Counselor.  She has a Master’s degree in Dance/Movement Therapy and Counseling from Columbia College, Chicago and a BA from Cornell University in Biology, Psychology and Society.  We cannot just think our way to change, we need to move it!

 Dance/Movement Therapy provides opportunities to engage our bodies in the moment, as well as  opportunities to translate these experiences to our outside life.  Whether you are looking to release stress, have a more positive body image, or work through a variety of mental and emotional issues, a body empowerment session is for you!
